I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
